Did you know that peanuts are a legume?
An interesting fact that many probably do not know is that peanuts flower above the ground, but as the plant grows and becomes heavier, gravity pulls it below the ground where it ripens.
We do not add any fat or salt to the unroasted (shelled) peanuts, which makes them a real health food with many nutritional properties.
It is rich in healthy fats which lower cholesterol and nutritionists often recommend its consumption, except, of course if, you are allergic to it.
It is often called “brain food” because it contains vitamin B3 which is excellent for brain function and improving your memory.
It contains many minerals which are certainly useful. Shelled peanuts make the perfect snack that everyone likes, but they present one problem: you will no be able to stop eating them.
