Although they are not as fatty as certain types of nuts, they are among the best sources of omega-3 fatty acids and an excellent source of vitamins and minerals, especially zinc and iron whose content in pumpkin seeds is three times higher than in pumpkin flesh.
The recommended daily pumpkin seeds intake is up to 300 grams for adults and 50 – 150 grams for children.
